Registration for the 2020 MCCP Walk is now closed. Please join us for our virtual Walk kick-off at 8:30am on Saturday, September 19th on the MCCP Facebook page, link here!

For 33 years, the Maine Children’s Cancer Program Walk has enabled communities statewide to gather and walk in support of local children fighting cancer and blood disorders. The MCCP Walk goes beyond an annual fundraising event — it’s often referred to as a family reunion, creating a space to celebrate the bravery of MCCP patients and remember those who are no longer with us.

Standing in solidarity with MCCP patients and families is what our annual Walk is all about. That’s why this year, in keeping our patients’ health and safety at the forefront, we’ve decided to go virtual. On Saturday, September 19th at 9:00am, we invite you to walk wherever you are to show your support for local children fighting cancer and blood disorders.

Childhood cancer does not let up during a pandemic, and the funds that are raised through the MCCP Walk remain as vital as ever. Every dollar raised stays here in Maine and supports state-of-the-art cancer treatment, psychosocial services for patients and their families, and research to help find a cure for childhood cancer. With your support, we can collectively make a huge difference in the lives of local children battling cancer.

We look forward to virtually walking with you as we support Maine Children’s Cancer Program’s mission of keeping cancer from getting in the way of kids being kids. On behalf of everyone affected by childhood cancer, thank you!
